I’ve always been entranced by the stillness of the nearby marshes, even in the most blustery conditions. Such it was when I set up to paint the other day ~ about -10, and a horridly icy wind blowing off the ocean. I didn’t have much cover, but wanted to capture some element of the view. I felt propelled by the chill, and rather enjoyed the expedience that it produced. I have yet to nail that mustardy gold tone the way I want, but I keep getting closer….
